🎤 Our Story

Founder Mohdiah Nasir, designer and CEO of The Elegance of Black, envisioned this show after showcasing at London Modest Fashion Week in 2018, attended by global figures including Lindsay Lohan. That experience solidified her belief that the U.S. modest fashion industry needed a dedicated, high-caliber platform — one that honors modesty without sacrificing creativity or quality.

The Modest Issue is her response — a refined, purposeful space where modest fashion can take center stage with dignity and power.
